Flags represent the history and ideology of a nation. The California flag has been subtly redesigned to reflect the ideals of the new nation while preserving the heritage and history of the land we love.

Gone are the disturbing tree stumps in the green field that once represented manifest destiny. Now the bear is more golden, a symbol of the promise of an egalitarian state.

The red star represents the old republic, our petulant neighbor to the east. The golden bear has been repositioned, now literally facing west, toward the Pacific Ocean and turning its back on the past.
